Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the tie rod.
  2. Remove the rack bearing. Refer to Valve and Pinion Assembly Disassemble .

    IMPORTANT: Tap the shaft gently.
  4. Remove the pinion shaft ball bearing.

  6. Remove the sir clip from the rack gear housing.

  8. Remove the rack gear and stopper by pulling them.
  9. Remove the rack gear stopper.
