Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Tie Rod Lock Nuts & Outer Tie Rod

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the outer tie rod with the lock nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the lock nuts to 54 N.m (40 lb ft).

  2. Fig 2: Outer Tie Rod Hex Nut & Steering Knuckle

  3. Install the outer tie rod with the hex nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hex nut to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
