Adjusting Belt Tension

  1. With the J 23600-B  on the pump drive belt, loosen the alternator adjusting bolt and move the alternator until the gage indicates the proper tension. See Special Tools and Equipment .
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Tighten the alternator adjusting bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the alternator adjusting bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
