Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the CMP sensor and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the CMP sensor bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  2. Fig 2: Identifying Cover Screws

  3. Install the timing bolt front cover. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-1.6L.
  4. Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
  5. Install the engine cover.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
