Disassembly Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove the compressor. Refer to Compressor Replacement .
  4. Remove the clutch plate and hub assembly. Refer to Compressor Clutch Plate and Hub Assembly Removal (V5 Compressor)  or Compressor Clutch Plate and Hub Assembly Removal (SP10 Compressor) .
  5. Remove the clutch rotor and bearing. Refer to Clutch Rotor and/or Bearing Removal (V5 Compressor)  or Clutch Rotor and/or Bearing Removal (SP10 Compressor) .
  6. Mark the clutch coil terminal location on the compressor housing.
  7. Install the J 33023-A  (1) on the compressor housing. See Special Tools . Also install the J 8433-1  (3) with the J 33025  (4). See Special Tools .
  8. Tighten the J 8433-3  (2) against the J 33023-A  (1) to remove the clutch coil. See Special Tools .
