Input Shaft Disassemble: Disassemble

  1. Remove the gear unit.
  2. Position the bearing to the DT 46494  (2). See Special Tools .
  3. Remove the input shaft right side bearing (1) with press.
  4. Remove the input shaft fifth gear spacer, the left side bearing and the 4th gear.

  6. Position the 4th gear to the DT 46494  (4). See Special Tools .
  7. Remove the 5th gear spacer (1).
  8. Remove the left side bearing (2).
  9. Remove the 4th gear (3).

  11. Remove the 4th gear bearing.
  12. Remove the 4th gear synchronizer ring and wave spring.

  14. Remove the 3rd-4th synchronizer circlip.

  16. Position the 3rd gear to the DT 46494  (3). See Special Tools .
  17. Remove the 3rd-4th synchronizer hub assembly (1).
  18. Remove the 3rd gear and synchronizer ring (2).

  20. Remove the 3rd-4th synchronizer hub assembly (1).
  21. Remove the synchronizer sleeve and the key (3).
  22. Remove the synchronizer springs (2).

  24. Remove the input shaft 3rd gear bearing (1).
