- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Install the scan tool.
- With the engine OFF, turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Select Store Freeze Frame/Failure Records from the DTC Information menu.
- Store Freeze Frame/Failure Records.
- Select Clear DTC Information from the DTC Information menu.
- Clear the DTC information.
- Perform 2 vehicle drive cycles.
Is the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) ON? |

- Select Request DTC by Status from the DTC Information menu.
- Request DTC by Status.

- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Measure the resistance between the vehicle harness and transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor. Refer to Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Inspection

- Disconnect the transmission control module (TCM) connector and measure the resistance between terminal A11 and A12.
Is the measurement within the specified values? |

Repair the temporary connection failure of the connector. Refer to Wiring Harness and Connector Inspection Diagnosis

- Estimate the failure between the vehicle wiring harness connector and the TCM.
- Inspect the connector. Refer to Wiring Harness and Connector Inspection Diagnosis

- Inspect the connection condition between the connector.

- Estimate the failure between the vehicle harness and the TFT sensor.
- Disconnect the transaxle harness connector of the T/M wire and inspect the resistance between the TFT sensor connector terminal 1 and 6.
