Power Door Locks Inoperative - All Doors and Switches

1 Did you review the Symptoms - Doors  and perform the necessary inspections? Go to Step 2  Go to Symptoms - Doors 
2 Operate the door locks. Note which locks operate and which locks do not operate from both the door switch and the remote keyless entry transmitter.
Does the door lock function operate normally?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3 
3 Is the LOCK function inoperative from the door switch and the transmitter? Go to Step 9  Go to Step 4 
4 Is the LOCK function inoperative from the transmitter? Go to Step 10  Go to Step 5 
5 Is the LOCK function inoperative from the driver's door lock switch? Go to Step 11  Go to Step 6 
6 Is the UNLOCK function inoperative from the door switch and the transmitter? Go to Step 24  Go to Step 7 
7 Is the UNLOCK function inoperative from the transmitter? Go to Step 15  Go to Step 8 
8 Is the UNLOCK function inoperative from the door switch? Go to Step 13  Go to Step 24

  1. Disconnect the door lock relay.
  2. Test for an open condition in the OG wire between the fuse block and terminal 5 of the door lock relay. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 21 
10 Test for an open in the GY/D-GN wire between the door lock relay terminal 15 and S226. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 23

  1. Disconnect the door lock switch.
  2. Momentarily connect a fused jumper from the GY wire to chassis ground.
Did the doors lock?
Go to Step 16  Go to Step 12 
12 Test for an open in the GY wire between the door lock relay terminal 6 and the door lock switch. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 24

  1. Disconnect the door lock switch.
  2. Momentarily connect a fused jumper from the L-GN wire to chassis ground.
Did the doors unlock?
Go to Step 17  Go to Step 14 
14 Test for an open in the L-GN wire between the door lock relay terminal 4 and the door lock switch. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 24 
15 Test for an open in the YE/GN wire between the door lock relay terminal 7 and the remote control door lock relay terminal 11. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 25 
16 Test for an open in the BK wire between the door lock switch and G301. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 17 
17 Replace the door lock switch.
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 26  -

  1. Connect a fused jumper from terminal 3 to terminal 8 on the door lock relay connector.
  2. Momentarily connect a fused jumper from terminal 2 to terminal 5.
Did the doors lock?
Go to Step 24  Go to Step 19 
19 Test for an open in the D-BU wire between terminal 3 of the relay and S307. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 20 
20 Test for an open in the WH wire between terminal 2 of the relay and S305. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 24 
21 Test for an open in the BLK wire between G301 and terminal 8 of the door lock relay. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 22 
22 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the door lock relay. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 26  Go to Step 18 
23 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 24  Go to Step 23 
24 Replace the relay.
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 26  -
25 Replace the remote control door lock receiver.
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 26  -
26 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 3
