- Inspect the drive belts - alternator, power steering and A/C belt.
- Change engine oil and filter. Refer to footnotes (1), (3).
An Emission Control Service.
- Inspect the cooling system hoses and connections.
- Inspect the engine coolant. Refer to footnote (3).
- Inspect the fuel line and connections.
- Inspect air cleaner element. Refer to footnote (2).
- Change the spark plugs for the 1.6 DOHC engine.
- Change the spark plugs for the 1.8 DOHC engine.
- Inspect the PCV system.
- Change the timing belt.
- Change the interior air filter A/C system.
- Inspect the exhaust pipes and mountings.
- Change the brake/clutch fluid. Refer to footnotes (3), (4).
- Inspect the front brake pads and disc. Refer to footnote (5).
- Inspect the rear brake pads and discs or drums and linings. Refer to footnote (5).
- Inspect the parking brake.
- Inspect the brake line and connections, including the booster.
- Inspect the manual transaxle oil. Refer to footnote (3).
- Inspect the automatic transaxle oil. Refer to footnotes (3), (5), (7).
- Inspect that the chassis and underbody bolts and nuts are tight/secure.
- Inspect the tire condition and inflation pressure.
- Inspect the wheel alignment. Refer to footnote (6).
- Inspect the steering wheel and linkage.
- Inspect the power steering fluid and lines. Refer to footnote (3).
- Inspect the drive shaft boots.
- Inspect the seat belts, buckles and anchors.
- Lubricate the locks, hinges and hood latch.
