Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Description and Operation: Voltmeter

The IPC displays the system voltage as determined by the body control module (BCM). The IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM indicating the system voltage. The voltmeter will default to 8 volts if:

• The BCM detects a malfunction in the BCM power circuit.
• The IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the BCM.
