Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper .
  2. Remove the I/P outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Outer Trim Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the I/P left trim panels. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Left .
  4. Remove the I/P right trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Right .
  5. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) .
  6. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  7. Remove the cluster trim bezel assembly. Refer to Trim Plate Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster .
  8. Remove the cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .
  9. Remove the I/P center trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center .
  10. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  11. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  12. Remove the ignition switch wire harness connectors. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement .
  13. Remove the park lock cable at the ignition switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.

  15. Remove the I/P trim pad screws.
  16. Move the I/P trim pad enough to access the ambient light sensor.
  17. Remove the ambient light sensor. Refer to Ambient Light Sensor Replacement in Lighting Systems.

  19. Remove the I/P pad.
  20. Remove the ignition switch from the I/P pad. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement .
