Removal Procedure

Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door latch release handle. Refer to Latch Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment .
Insert the key into the I/P compartment door lock cylinder.
Insert a small diameter tool into the slot on the side of the door lock cylinder housing.
Depress the tool into the lock cylinder slot and turn the key 1/4-turn clockwise.

IMPORTANT: Note the position of the lock cylinder on removal for installation.
