Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the bleed hose on the J 34730-1A  from the approved container. See Special Tools and Equipment .
  2. Remove the shop towel from around the fitting and discard into an approved container.
  3. Disconnect the J 34730-1A  from the fuel pressure valve. See Special Tools and Equipment .
  4. Install the fuel rail pressure fitting cap.
  5. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L (RPO LQ4)) or Engine Sight Shield Replacement (6.0L (RPO LQ9)) in Engine Mechanical-4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.
