Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel sending unit. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (4.8L and 5.3L Engines)  or Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (5.3L (L59) Engine)  or Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (6.0L Engine - Dual Tanks - Front)  or Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (6.0L Engine - Dual Tanks - Rear) .
  2. Push in the retainer in order to disengage the electrical connector.

  4. Remove the fuel level sensor electrical connector.

  6. Push the locking tangs (1) in towards the interior of the sending unit bucket.

  8. Slide the fuel level sensor up and out from the sending unit bucket.
