Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT:
Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections and surroundings areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible EVAP system contamination.
- Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Single Tank) or Fuel Tank Replacement (Single Tank w/5.3L (L59) Engine) or Fuel Tank Replacement (Dual Tanks - Front) or Fuel Tank Replacement (Dual Tanks - Rear) .
- Disconnect and remove the EVAP purge line (3) from the sending unit and retaining clips. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
- Disconnect and remove the EVAP vapor line (1) from the valve and retaining clips. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
- Cap the fuel feed and EVAP openings in order to prevent possible fuel/EVAP system contamination.
