Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the caps from the EVAP canister purge solenoid and the EVAP chassis pipe.
  2. Install the EVAP tube.
  3. Connect the EVAP tube to the EVAP chassis pipe (2).
  4. Connect the EVAP tube to the EVAP canister purge solenoid (1).
  5. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L (RPO LQ4)) or Engine Sight Shield Replacement (6.0L (RPO LQ9)) in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.
