Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
IMPORTANT: Clean all evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting, in order to avoid possible EVAP system contamination.

  1. Remove the rear fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Single Tank)  or Fuel Tank Replacement (Single Tank w/5.3L (L59) Engine)  or Fuel Tank Replacement (Dual Tanks - Front)  or Fuel Tank Replacement (Dual Tanks - Rear) .
  2. Disconnect the EVAP lines from the module. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  3. Cap the EVAP openings in order to prevent possible EVAP system contamination.

  5. Remove the EVAP lines (1) from the retaining clips.
