Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
IMPORTANT: Clean all evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting, in order to avoid possible EVAP system contamination.

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Disconnect the EVAP canister vent solenoid line from the canister.
  3. Disconnect the fuel tank vapor line from the canister.
  4. Remove the vent pipe clip from the canister bracket.

  6. Disconnect the EVAP pipe from the canister.
  7. Cap the EVAP pipes in order to prevent possible EVAP system contamination.

  9. Remove the EVAP canister bolts.
  10. Remove the EVAP canister.
