Removal (ABS)

  1. Remove the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve from the vehicle. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article.
  2. Remove the master cylinder assembly. See MASTER CYLINDER  .
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster. Remove the clevis pin from the push rod clevis.
  4. Disconnect the push rod clevis from the brake pedal arm. Remove the nuts from the booster. See Figure . Remove the booster.
  5. For brake booster adjustments, see POWER BRAKE BOOSTER PISTON ROD ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS.
