Installation (Non-ABS)

  1. Apply Wheel Bearing Lubricant, (1051344 US; 993037 Canada), or the equivalent, to the master cylinder piston.
  2. Install the booster to the bulkhead.
    3. NOTE: DO NOT tighten the nuts on the bulkhead before tightening the clevis nut.
  3. Install, but DO NOT tighten the 4 brake booster nuts. See Figure . Connect the brake booster push rod clevis to the brake pedal lever. Secure the clevis with the clevis pin and the clip.
  4. Install the push rod clevis to specified measurement. See DISTANCE MEASUREMENT  .

    Distance Between The Clevis Pin Hole And The Brake Booster Assembly 4.31-4.35 (109.5-110.5)
  5. Tighten the clevis nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Tighten the 4 brake booster nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake booster. Secure the hose with the hose clamp. Install the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER  .
