Removal & Installation

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  2. Remove the brake rotor. See DISC BRAKE ROTOR  .
  3. Remove the hub with the bearings and seals.
  4. Remove the 4 bolts from the brake shield.
  5. Remove the brake shield from spindle.
  6. Install the brake shield to the spindle.
  7. Install the 4 bolts to the brake shield. Tighten bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Tighten the wheel hub, the bearings and seals.
  9. Install the brake rotor. See DISC BRAKE ROTOR  .
  10. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Measure the wheel alignment. See appropriate WHEEL ALIGNMENT article.
