Removal (Non-ABS)

  1. Remove the master cylinder assembly. See MASTER CYLINDER  .
  2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster. Remove the clevis pin from the push rod clevis. See Fig 1 . Disconnect the push rod clevis from the brake pedal arm.
  3. Remove the 4 brake booster nuts. See Fig 2 . Remove the brake booster.
  4. For brake booster adjustments, see POWER BRAKE BOOSTER PISTON ROD ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS.
