Installation Procedure

  1. Install the range select lever cable bracket (3).
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the bolt (1) securing the range select lever cable bracket. Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  3. Install the nut (2) securing the range select lever cable bracket. Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the range select cable to the range select cable bracket. Ensure the range select cable retaining clip (1) is secured in the bracket.
  5. Connect the range select cable (2) to the range select lever.
  6. Adjust the cable. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
  7. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (HP7) .
