Preliminary Inspection

  1. Perform the hydraulic brake system diagnostic system check. See HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. The diagnostic system check will verify that all of the following are true:
    • There are not DTCs set.
    • The control modules can communicate via the serial data link.
  2. In order to duplicate the customer's concern before using the hydraulic brake symptom tables, perform the VEHICLE ROAD TEST  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  3. Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. See DESCRIPTION & OPERATION .
