Drum Brake Hardware: Installation

  1. Install the brake shoes with all the necessary NEW hardware. See BRAKE SHOES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Adjust the drum brake system. See DRUM BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS.
  3. Install the brake drum. See BRAKE DRUM  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lower the vehicle.
