Removal Procedure

Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Remove the screws from the lower steering column trim cover.
Remove the upper trim cover from the steering column.

Remove the screws from the I/P cluster trim plate.

Gently pry out the I/P cluster trim plate form the I/P carrier with a small flat-bladed tool.
Remove the I/P cluster trim plate from the I/P carrier.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the I/P dimmer switch.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the hazard warning switch.
