Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PRO .
  2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to IP Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the body control module. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT .
  4. Remove the DRL module. Refer to DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DRL) CONTROL MODULE R .
  5. Remove the EBTCM module. Refer to ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE (EBCM) REPLACEMENT .
  6. Remove the steering column. Refer to STEERING COLUMN REPLACEMENT .
  7. Remove the A/C module. Refer to HVAC CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT .
  8. Remove the IP air outlet ducts. Refer to IP AIR OUTLET DUCTS REPLACEMENT .
  9. Remove the center air outlet. Refer to AIR OUTLET REPLACEMENT -- CENTER .
  10. Remove the defroster duct. Refer to AIR OUTLET DUCT REPLACEMENT -- DEFROSTER .
  11. Remove the bolts/screws which secure the IP carrier to the body.
  12. Remove the IP carrier from the body.
