Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left closeout insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left .
  2. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster .
  3. Remove the instrument panel cluster (IPC) bezel, Chevrolet only. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Chevrolet)  or Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (GMC/Oldsmobile) .
  4. Remove the instrument panel (IP) accessory trim plate, GMC or Oldsmobile only. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Chevrolet)  or Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Oldsmobile) .
  5. Remove the screws retaining the IPC to the IP.

  6. Partially remove the IPC from the IP in order to gain access to the electrical connector.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IPC.
  8. Remove the IPC from the IP.
