Step Action Yes No
1 Did you review the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Description and Operation  and perform the necessary inspections? Go to Step 2  Go toSymptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console 
2 Verify that the instrument cluster gages are inoperative.
Do the gages operate normally?
Go toTESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C1.
  2. Test for an open condition between cavity 14 and a good ground.
Does an open condition exist?
Go to Step 4  Go to Step 5 
4 Repair the open in the BLK/WHT wire between the instrument cluster and the junction block C4 cavity 1.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 9  -

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C3.
  2. Test for a open condition between cavity 2 and G103.
Does an open condition exist?
Go to Step 6  Go to Step 7 
6 Repair the short in the BLK/YEL wire between the instrument cluster and G103.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 9  -
7 Inspect the instrument cluster for any damage to the cluster or printed circuit.
Is there any damage to the instrument cluster or printed circuit?
Go to Step 8  Go to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS
8 Repair or replace the instrument cluster or printed circuit.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 9  -
9 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 3
