Master Cylinder: Removal
- Disconnect the reservoir fluid level connector. See Figure
.
- Clean the reservoir and the master cylinder.
- Remove the reservoir cap. See Fig 1
.
- Remove the reservoir diaphragm.
- Remove the fluid with a syringe.
- Remove the reservoir screw, or remove the reservoir pin using a drift.
- Remove the reservoir.
- On models equipped with ABS, disconnect the brake pipes from the proportioning valve. See Fig 2
.
- On all models, disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder.
- Remove the nuts that retain the master cylinder to the brake booster.
- Remove master cylinder from brake booster.
