Removal & Installation

  1. Loosen the hose clamp on the brake booster vacuum hose. Remove the hose from the booster. See Figure .
  2. Loosen the hose clamp that retains the brake booster vacuum hose to the intake manifold. Remove the hose from the intake manifold. Remove the 2 brake booster pipe-to-cowl bolts.
  3. Remove the 2 power brake booster vacuum hoses and the booster vacuum pipe from the vehicle. If necessary, loosen the hose clamps and remove the 2 hoses from the pipe.
  4. Install the 2 power brake booster hoses to the vacuum booster pipe. Install the 2 hose clamps in order to retain the hoses to the pipe. Install the 2 hoses and the brake booster pipe to the cowl.
  5. Install the 2 brake booster pipe-to-cowl bolts. Tighten the brake booster pipe-to-cowl bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Install the brake booster vacuum hose to the intake manifold. Install the hose clamp in order to retain the hose to the manifold.
  7. Install the brake booster vacuum hose to the booster. See Figure . Install the hose clamp in order to retain the hose to the brake booster.
