Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the following components from the IP assembly:
    1. The screw (2)
    2. The air distribution center duct (1)

  4. Remove the following components from the IP assembly:
    1. The 4 screws (1)
    2. The windshield defroster outlet duct (2)
    3. The heater duct

  6. Remove the screw (3) from the left side of the rear of the IP assembly (1) which secures the IP wiring harness (2).

  8. Remove the 2 screws (1) from the center of the rear of the IP assembly (3) which secure the IP wiring harness (2).

  10. Remove the screw (3) from the right side of the rear of the IP assembly (1) which secures the IP wiring harness (2).

  12. Release the wiring harness retainers and remove the IP wiring harness (2) from the IP reinforcement (1).
  13. Remove the following components from the IP assembly:
    1. The 10 screws
    2. The 4 bolts
    3. The IP reinforcement
