Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the electrical connector for the fluid level switch (4).
- Clean the cap for the reservoir.
- Remove the cap for the reservoir.
- Siphon fluid from the reservoir.
- Disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder.
- Plug the open brake pipes in order to prevent the contamination and excessive loss of fluid.
- Remove the three nuts for mounting the master cylinder.
- Remove the master cylinder (5).
- If the vehicle is equipped with the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), then remove the gasket (8).
- If the vehicle is equipped with ABS, then temporarily install, but do not tighten, the three nuts to secure the brake pressure modulator valve assembly bracket.

- If the vehicle is not equipped with ABS, then remove the gasket (8) from the vacuum booster (1).
