Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE
.
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Remove the brake hose union bolt (1). Place a container beneath the brake hose in order to catch escaping brake fluid.
- Disconnect the brake hose.

- Remove the 2 caliper pin bolts (1).

- Remove the caliper from caliper bracket.
- Inspect the following components for corrosion and wear. Replace any part if necessary:
- The mounting bolts
- The caliper pins
- The dust boots
- Remove the brake pads, insulators, retainers, and the wear indicator from the caliper housing. Refer to Brake Pads Replacement .
