Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel ashtray from the instrument panel ashtray housing by depressing the spring loaded tab and pulling rearward.
  2. Using a taped flat bladed tool, gently pry and release the 6 retaining clips which secure the IP accessory center trim plate (1) to the instrument panel assembly.
  3. Disconnect the following components:
    • The 2 cigar lighter electrical connectors
    • The instrument panel ashtray bulb socket
  4. Remove the cigar lighter assembly, if necessary. Refer to Cigar Lighter Replacement .
  5. Remove the instrument panel ashtray housing, if necessary.
