The instrument panel assembly mounts to the following parts of the vehicle body:

• The steering column supporting bracket
• The support member
• Along the base of the windshield opening

The instrument panel is the attaching base for the following components:

• The instrument panel compartment
• The instrument cluster assembly
• The instrument panel cluster trim plate
• The radio
• The heater control unit

For appearance, the instrument panel covers the routing of the following major assemblies:

• The heating and A/C components
• The electrical components
• The electrical connectors
• The wiring harnesses

The instrument panel includes the following components:

• An illumination controller
• A radio (if equipped)
• The heater control unit
• The hazard switch
• The air conditioning switch (if equipped)
• The cigar lighter
• The ashtray
• The hood latch release lever
• The instrument panel compartment
• The I/P drivers knee bolster
• The side vent outlets
• The center vent outlets
• The defroster outlets
