Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT -- HINGE PILLAR .
  2. Remove the 2 bolts (3) which secure the IP drivers knee bolster trim.

  3. Remove the drivers knee bolster trim (1) from the instrument panel assembly.
  4. Disconnect the hood latch release cable (1) from the hood latch release handle.

  5. Remove the OBD II data link connector (1) from the drivers knee bolster trim (2).
  6. Remove the knee bolster trim (2) from the vehicle.
  7. Gently pry the hood latch release handle from the knee bolster trim, if necessary.
