Installation Procedure

  1. Coat the valve lifters using prelube GM P/N 1052367 Canadian P/N 992869 or the equivalent.
  2. Install the valve lifters in their original locations.
  3. Install the lifter guide.
  4. Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 Canadian P/N 10953489 or the equivalent to the lifter guide bolts and install the bolts. Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 in lbs).
  5. Install the valve rocker arms and pushrods.

  6. Install the lower intake manifold.
  7. Install the engine left side valve rocker arm cover.
  8. Inspect for leaks.
