Installation Procedure

  1. Coat the ends of the push rods using Engine Oil Supplement (EOS) GM P/N 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or the equivalent.
  2. IMPORTANT: The intake valve push rods measure 144 mm (5.75 in) in length.
    The exhaust valve push rods measure 152.5 mm (6.0 in) in length.
  3. Install the push rods in their original location.

  5. Coat the rocker arm friction surfaces using Engine Oil Supplement (EOS) GM P/N 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or the equivalent.
  6. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  7. Install the valve rocker arm bolts.

    Tighten: 

    1. Tighten the bolts to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

  8. Install the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Left  or Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right .
