Test N: Low Tire Pressure Indicator Inoperative

  1. Perform tire pressure monitoring diagnostic system check. See TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If tire pressure monitoring diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Observe LOW TIRE PRESSURE indicator on Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) systems monitor during bulb check. If indicator illuminates during bulb check, problem is intermittent. Check for poor connections and damage to wiring harness. If indicator does not illuminate during bulb check, go to next step.
  3. Replace IPC and go to next step. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Check LOW TIRE PRESSURE indicator operation. If system operates normally, repair is complete. If problem still exists, return to step  2 .
