Brake System Slow Release

  1. Were you sent here from the Hydraulic Brake Symptom table? If so, go to next step. If not, see DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Inspect the hydraulic brake system for proper operation. See HYDRAULIC BRAKES SYSTEM TESTING  under SYSTEM TESTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  5 . If not, go to next step.
  3. Inspect the brake assist system for proper operation. See BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM TESTING  under SYSTEM TESTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  5 . If not, go to next step.
  4. Inspect the disc brake system for proper operation. See DISC BRAKE SYSTEM TESTING  under SYSTEM TESTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to next step. If not, see DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  5. Road test the vehicle in order to confirm proper operation. See BRAKE SYSTEM VEHICLE ROAD TEST  under TESTING. Is the condition still present? If so, go to step  2 . If not, then repair is complete.
