Park Brake Pedal Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the park brake pedal assembly. Connect the park brake cable to the park brake pedal assembly and install the retaining clip. Install the 3 park brake pedal assembly retaining nuts. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the parking brake switch. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Connect the front cable to the rear cable at the connector clip. Adjust the park brake system. See PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  in PARK BRAKE SYSTEM under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS. Lower the vehicle. Position the carpet in place. Install the left carpet retainer. Install the left side instrument panel insulator.
