BRAKE Indicator

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illuminates BRAKE indicator when following occurs:

• If Body control module (BCM) detects that park brake is engaged, IPC receives a class 2 message from BCM requesting illumination. If vehicle is shifted out of park with park brake engaged, BCM sends a class 2 message to radio in order to activate an audible warning.
• IPC detects a low brake fluid condition (signal circuit is low).
• When IPC performs displays test at start of each ignition cycle, indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds.
