Brake Warning Alarm Always On
- Did you review the SYMPTOMS - HYDRAULIC BRAKE? If so go to next step. If not go to SYMPTOMS - HYDRAULIC BRAKE

- Does the brake assist system operate properly? If so go to next step. If not go to BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM TESTING

- Start the engine. Does the power brake booster fluid flow alarm sound continuously? If so go to next step. If not, condition is intermittent. Go to INTERMITTENT

- Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the Power Brake Booster Fluid Pressure Alarm Switch. Turn ON the ignition. Does the Power Brake Booster Fluid Flow Alarm sound continuously? If so go to step 6
. If not go to next step.
- Replace the power brake booster fluid pressure alarm switch. See Fig 1
. After repairs are complete, go to step 10
.
- Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the Power Brake Booster Fluid Flow and Pressure Alarm Delay Module. See Fig 1
. Turn ON the ignition. Does the Power Brake Booster Fluid Flow Alarm sound continuously? If so go to step 8
. If not go to next step.
- Test the brake fluid level sensor signal circuit for a short to ground. Did you find and correct the condition? If so go to step 10
. If not go to step 9
.
- Repair the short to ground in the brake warning indicator supply voltage 2 circuit. After repairs are complete, go to step 10
.
- Replace the Power Brake Booster Fluid Flow and Pressure Alarm Delay Module. See Fig 1
. After repairs are complete, go to next step.
- Reconnect any previously disconnected components. Start the engine. Does the power brake booster fluid flow alarm sound continuously? If so go to step 2
. If not, system is okay.
