Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Transmission Mount To Frame Rail Bolts

Install the left transmission mount.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the transmission mount to frame rail bolts and tighten to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

Install the transmission mount spacer and bolts and tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
Using the engine support, raise the transmission until the transmission mount spacer contacts the left transmission mount.

Install the transmission mount to transmission mount spacer bolts (1) and tighten to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
Raise the vehicle.

Install the rear transmission mount thru bolt (1) and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).

Install the front transmission mount thru bolt and tighten to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).
Lower the vehicle.
Remove the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
Install the battery box if equipped with 2.4L (LE5). Refer to Battery Box Replacement .
Install the battery tray support bracket if equipped with 2.4L (LAT). Refer to Battery Tray Support Bracket Replacement .
