Knee Bolster: Removal

  1. Set the parking brake. Block the wheels. Remove the left-side instrument panel sound insulator. See LEFT INSULATOR PANEL .
  2. Remove the lower instrument panel sound insulator. See LOWER INSULATOR PANEL . Release the parking brake release cable from the parking brake lever.
  3. Remove the screw that retains the courtesy light to the knee bolster. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove the screws that retain the knee bolster trim panel to the instrument panel. See Fig 2. Remove the knee bolster trim panel from the vehicle.
