Wheel Stud (Rear Drum Brakes): Removal

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and the wheel.
  3. Remove the brake drum. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove the wheel stud from the axle flange using Ball Joint Removal (J 43631). See Fig 2. See SPECIAL TOOLS .
