Tie Rod (ZR2 Models): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Support the rear axle at a curb height position.
  3. Remove the rear tie rod mounting bolt, the washers, and the rear tie rod mounting nut from the frame bracket. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove the rear tie rod mounting bolt, the washers, and the rear tie rod mounting nut from the axle bracket. See Fig 2.
  5. Remove the rear tie rod. See Fig 3.
