Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD REPLACEMENT .
  2. Place a drain pan below the pump.
  3. Remove the power steering hoses from the pump.
  4. Cap the power steering hoses.
  5. Remove the drive belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT .
  6. Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement .

  7. Disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connection.

  8. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bolts.
  9. Remove the A/C compressor rear bracket mounting bolts.
  10. Remove the A/C compressor from the brackets and set aside.

  11. Remove the power steering pump front mounting bolts.
  12. Remove the power steering pump rear mounting bracket nuts from the engine studs.
  13. Remove the power steering pump rear mounting bracket bolt.
  14. Remove the power steering pump.
