Activating System (Aztek & Rendezvous)

  1. Remove key from ignition switch. Ensure SIR fuse is still removed from fuse block.
  2. Connect passenger side air bag 2-pin Yellow SIR connector to vehicle harness. Install CPA clip. Repeat procedure for driver side air bag connector.
  3. Connect passenger air bag 2-pin Yellow SIR connector. Install CPA clip. Connect driver air bag 2-pin Yellow SIR connector at base of steering column. Install CPA clip. Install sound insulator panels.
  4. Install SIR fuse in fuse block. Staying away from both air bags, turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure AIR BAG warning light flashes 7 times, and then turns off.
